Make your home as unique as you are with this modern Steampunk or Industrial-style light switch cover featuring a wooden handle. Just flip the metal levers to turn lights on and off! It is made from 1/4 inch raw steel so it has an authentic Industrial look. My design fits most toggle switches in the USA. Simply unscrew and remove your existing switch plate, and screw this one in in its place. It is extremely easy and screws are included.
The wooden handles in the featured pictures have been stained. However, when you place an order, you will receive the handle in natural wood. It is very easy to stain to achieve a variety of different looks. Before shipping, I clean and oil each piece to make prevent rusting and remove plasma dust.
My lever system has a bolt and nut design that allows you to adjust the amount of torque needed to flip the lights on and off. Your purchase comes with a small, matching wrench to help you adjust the bolts. It also comes with a steel spacer plate that ensures a tight seal against the wall and also prevents wobbling and unsightly gaps.
Base plate measures 4 ¾ inches tall by 2 ¾ inches wide. Levers extend 4 ¾ inches from the wall.
When installing, a good option is to turn your existing toggle switch upside down so that the up/down, on/off action of the levers is not reversed.
This design is only compatible with toggle switches (the kind you flick up and down with your finger). If you have a dimmer or rocker switch, I can include a 15A-120V toggle switch with your order at no extra charge. Please notify me via a conversation if you need a complimentary toggle switch.

Light switches should be oiled (I prefer to use WD40) at least once a year in order to prevent rusting.

My light switches with levers ONLY work with toggle switches (the kind you flick up and down with your finger). It's easy to change from a dimmer or other type of light switch to a toggle switch.
Are these safe?
Any properly installed and functioning light switch has a safety ground. There should be no dangerous voltages anywhere near a properly functioning switch. The toggle switch itself is plastic, which is also an insulator. Whenever you are working with electricity, however, it’s always a good idea to turn off the breaker and double check your wires to make sure the insulation on your wiring is intact, and that the ground is connected to the switch. If the copper wire is exposed, or if the insulation is cut, you could get a shock due to faulty wiring.
Before installing, please ensure that your current light switches are functioning properly, that your switch is grounded, and that there are no loose wire connections.

Extremely good quality, better than I expected. Takes almost no assembly other than the base plate. All the bolts are adjustable so you can make it as tight or as loose as you want. And it looks very nice.

This was so cool. I LOVE it. It fits our style really well and wasn't hard to install. My only issue was the light wooden handle got a little dinged up in transit, but it's not bad.
