These unique steampunk wall plates cover up electrical boxes (old internet jacks or phone lines) while adding style. They are an easy way to add a decorative accent to any room in your home. They are made from 1/4" steel, and the decorative accents are rusted and then clear coated. The single-gang version is 5 inches tall by 3 inches wide. The Octopus is 4.5 inches wide from tentacle to tentacle.
The steel outlet (plug) cover in these pictures is NOT included with this order. To purchase the outlet plug covers, please go to the following link:

Light switches should be oiled (I prefer to use WD40) at least once a year in order to prevent rusting.
My light switches with levers ONLY work with toggle switches (the kind you flick up and down with your finger). It's easy to change from a dimmer or other type of light switch to a toggle switch.
Any properly installed and functioning light switch has a safety ground. There should be no dangerous voltages anywhere near a properly functioning switch. The toggle switch itself is plastic, which is also an insulator. Whenever you are working with electricity, however, it’s always a good idea to turn off the breaker and double check your wires to make sure the insulation on your wiring is intact, and that the ground is connected to the switch. If the copper wire is exposed, or if the insulation is cut, you could get a shock due to faulty wiring.
Before installing, please ensure that your current light switches are functioning properly, that your switch is grounded, and that there are no loose wire connections.

I LOVE this! Perfect for covering ugly phone jacks in my new house (and home office). The screws that came with it were WAY too short, even without the extra little backing piece but I just reused the original phone jack screws so all good :). (When I have time I will look for nicer screws than my old painted ones)
